Dr. Swanson is a board-certified pediatrician who grew up in the suburbs of Northern Virginia. She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing her pediatric residency at Virginia Tech Carilion Children’s, Dr. Swanson returned to the Lynchburg area, eager to serve the local community.

Dr. Swanson believes that parents are the best advocates for their children and values building strong partnerships with families. Her goal is to work alongside families to help their children grow into healthy and happy individuals. She is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care while creating an environment where families feel listened to, supported, and empowered to make the best decisions for their children.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Swanson enjoys spending time with her husband and their young son and exploring all that the Lynchburg community has to offer.
