Partnership strengthens access to behavioral health services and supports more integrated patient care across the region

Collaborative Health Partners (CHP) today announced the acquisition of Advanced Psychotherapeutics, a strategic step that significantly strengthens CHP’s behavioral health capabilities and reinforces its commitment to providing comprehensive, accessible, and coordinated care throughout the communities it serves.

The acquisition brings together CHP’s growing network of healthcare services with Advanced Psychotherapeutics’ established expertise in counseling, psychological evaluation, psychiatric support, trauma-informed care, and behavioral health services. Through this partnership, CHP will enhance access to behavioral health resources for individuals and families across the region while continuing to support a more integrated approach to whole-person care.

“This acquisition represents an important investment in the health and well-being of our communities,” said Shawn Crawford, CEO of CHP. “Behavioral health needs continue to grow, particularly in rural and underserved areas. By welcoming Advanced Psychotherapeutics into the CHP family, we are strengthening our ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care while improving access to essential mental health services close to home.”

The expanded behavioral health platform will allow CHP to:

  • Increase access to outpatient behavioral health services
  • Strengthen coordination between primary care and behavioral health providers
  • Expand counseling, psychological evaluation, and mental health resources for patients of all ages
  • Support earlier intervention and preventative behavioral healthcare
  • Improve access to care in rural and underserved communities
  • Create opportunities for future growth in tele-behavioral health and integrated care models

The acquisition aligns with CHP’s broader mission to build a more connected healthcare delivery system that addresses both physical and mental health needs. CHP believes integrated behavioral healthcare plays a critical role in improving patient outcomes, reducing barriers to care, and supporting healthier communities overall.

“Access to behavioral health services has never been more important,” said Dr. Mark Kleiner, CHP Board Chair. “This partnership allows us to further strengthen the care we provide by creating a more coordinated, patient-centered experience while expanding the availability of services our communities urgently need.”

Patients currently receiving care through Advanced Psychotherapeutics will continue to receive uninterrupted services. CHP also plans to invest in additional staffing, expanded programs, and enhanced care delivery capabilities over time.
